XANALYS Indexer
(formerly Quenza, PowerIndexer)

Saves
time: XANALYS Indexer sorts, highlights
and extracts only relevant information from an unlimited
number of documents — quickly and accurately
— saving you days, weeks, even months of tedious
manual review. So you’re free to focus on making
sense of the extracted data.
Recognizes different
references: A single person may be referred
to in several ways — as Mr. J.R. Smith, Smith,
Mr. Smith, J. Smith. Yet XANALYS Indexer
produces just one entity in the Index Plan, covering
all iterations. You can also improve its recognition
by adding common names, for example Sue for Susan,
or HP for Hewlett Packard.
Ensures data integrity:
The software automatically researches and cross-references
each entity to check that records are not duplicated.
If duplications in data are found, all cross-references
in the new record are automatically merged with the
existing record, ensuring that your integrity is preserved.
Compatible with third-party
tools: Its open database format gives you
the freedom to take advantage of a variety of third-party
database analysis and reporting tools.
XANALYS Link
Explorer provides these additional benefits:
Infinite possibilities,
finite answers: With Link Explorer,
you can make sense of the mass of information available
on a specific case. Raw data is crystallized into
meaningful connected intelligence — definitive
answers — right before your eyes.
Work blindfolded:
You don’t even need to know what data is available
for answers to unfold.
Captures relevant information
only: You can retrieve only relevant data,
making your search for answers that much faster and
easier.
Specific answers in
record time: Expand or narrow your questions
over and over again until you get the specific answers
you’re looking for. The system also automatically
generates updated charts as new discoveries unfold,
saving you from having to re-chart the case by hand
time and time again.
Explore all possibilities,
create compelling presentations: In complex
cases, use XANALYS Link
Explorer
to map potential scenarios — and even to create
clear, thorough presentations that simplify the case
for your team or to present a complex web of evidence
to the courts.

Unlock invaluable leads from unstructured data, then watch
as critical connections in your case become instantly clear.
It’s easy to extract critical case information from
a database. After all, it’s organized in a highly structured
way. But what about potentially invaluable information buried
in your Microsoft Word documents, PDFs, emails, forensic reports
or other unstructured form?
Now unstructured data can become just as accessible and usable
as structured data with XANALYS Indexer. This
powerful text extraction software tool allows law enforcement,
homeland security, anti-terrorism and private-sector investigators
to:
- Create an Index Plan that brings structure to
unstructured data:
With its patented PowerIndexing technology, XANALYS
Indexer automatically extracts relevant information
from unstructured text, including:
- Entities, such as a person, company or an event
- Attributes, such as occupation, sex or company title
- Relationships, such as located-at, works-for, involved-in-event
XANALYS Indexer applies a set of rules
called a grammar to extract the specific information you
need. That information is then output in a highly structured
format called an Index Plan. Entities are represented
by records in a database, with the relationship between
those entities identified within the text and also stored
in the database.
- Conduct comprehensive queries of data:
You can now conduct comprehensive queries using information
previously accessible only by time-consuming manual review.
You don’t even need to know if a document contains
relevant data. Just let XANALYS Indexer go to work.
Plus you can quickly prioritize documents for more detailed
research based on content analysis — and augment existing
results as new documents arrive.
- Make the right connections:
Using Natural Language Process and other such strategies
as pattern-matching, Indexer examines text sources to extract
specified information, while constantly tracking the connections
between individual entities. Those relationships are extracted
as cross-references. From these, you can look for patterns,
for example, the most connected or most referenced information,
that can help solve the case.
- Embed the extractions into your systems:
Indexer comes with a well-defined interface,
allowing you to embed extracted data into your own products
and technologies. On the Windows platform, it includes a
COM interface, with which you can render the structured
information into any required form, for example, as input
to some other process or to a database.
- Easily uncover patterns and relationships:
XANALYS Link Explorer
is seamlessly integrated with XANALYS Indexer.
This powerful database analysis and visualization tool allows
you to quickly uncover critical connections that you may
have otherwise missed due to the sheer quantity and unwieldiness
of the data. As you ask a question, the software automatically
generates easy-to-read interactive graphic displays that
map how people, events, tips and other case details are
linked. And as new information arrives, the displays are
instantly undated.
Indexer is ideal for
- Law enforcement agencies and officials charged with identifying
and capturing criminals
- Homeland security agencies and investigators responsible
for gathering, analyzing and sharing intelligence
- Financial and insurance investigators handling fraudulent
claims or researching illegal activities
- Public health officials in need of identifying the source
of a health-related and bio-terrorism threat.
