Job title: Junior Developer
Location: Altrincham, Manchester
Salary: up to £25k
Position Type: Permanent /Full-time
A fantastic opportunity has become available for a Junior Developer to join an independent software company in a permanent full time role.
As a Junior Developer you will be working with senior developers as part of the team responsible for the development of the company’s next generation of investigative case management solutions. Our products include both web and native applications using the Microsoft .Net technology stack, and initially you would be working on configuring solutions for customers based on our in-house technology platform.
The technologies we use include:

• XML, XQuery, XML Schema, XML Schematron, XPath, XSL, XAML
• JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3,
• ASP.NET MVC, C#, .net
• Bootstrap, AngularJS, JQuery
• SOA, WCF Web Services,
• SQL Server, Oracle,
• Microsoft Azure,
• Microsoft Visual Studio

Previous exposure to some of these technologies would be great, but we are most interested in candidates with the ability to take on the challenges of learning new skills and developing solutions in a fast moving, agile environment :-

• Numerical and analytical skills proven via a suitable degree or similar
• Capable of working in a team or as an individual
• Self-motivated and self-starting
• Excellent communication and problem solving skills
• Knowledge of Agile development methodologies
• Confidence and ability to contribute in the design and development of new applications under the guidance of senior developers

The starting salary will be up to £25,000 per year depending on experience. Bonuses are paid regularly and are dependent on company performance. Other benefits include contributory pension, generous holiday allowance, and flexible working hours.

Job title: Software Development Internship
Location: Altrincham, Manchester
Duration: 9 – 12 weeks, starting June/July 2017

Looking for an opportunity to learn about the creation of commercial software systems, contribute to real projects and applications, and work with a highly experienced team, then our summer internship may be for you.

The Position
You will work with senior developers as part of the team responsible for the company’s next generation of investigative case management solutions. Our products include both web and desktop applications using the Microsoft .Net technology stack. You will work on a short software development project such as a proof of concept, an integration of Xanalys products with other 3rd party software products or specific feature enhancements to existing solutions.

The position will provide you with an excellent opportunity to gain experience of professional software development in a focused, entrepreneurial environment.

  • It is a full-time position in which you will work around 40 hours a week.
  • You will receive £1200 per calendar month.
  • You must be eligible to work in the UK.

What you will need to bring to the position:

  • You will have completed at least 2 years of a “STEM” University degree with some coding experience
  • Interest and enthusiasm for developing end user software applications
  • A professional manner with good communications skills
  • Self-motivated and self-starting
  • Ability to understand, analyze and resolve logical problems.
